You start from the beautiful Izola, the brief five-hour drive away from Vienna, or flies to Trieste at just 20 minutes away by car in order to explore with the Folkboat the many possibilities of short- and long-haul trips.
Izola is with its 300 days of sunshine a year, a popular tourist town, because in the particular architecture of the old town you can still admire the colorful history of this port city. The long fishing tradition and Izola are found in the culinary offer again, so do not miss to have tasted a fish in a salt crust - this traditional dish is simply gorgeous!
The Slovenian coast, but also with a great excursion option Portoroz! It became known for its extensive wellness facilities - for the beneficial climate and the healing ingredients from the nearby 700 year old Sečovlje saltpans led to a long-standing tradition of spa tourism. But also for the more adventurous there is plenty to discover, because all kinds of events like the Neptune baptism and the traditional festival of the salt workers and well-maintained beaches with lively beach bars offer a wide variety.
From here you sail a few miles further to Venice, where you can create only a few minutes' walk from St. Mark's Square, and thus are in the middle of the romantic port city. Or you explore the Gulf of Trieste, where the world-famous annual Barcolana - Europe's largest regatta - takes place.

The Croatian islands around Krk offers numerous bays and anchorages and marinas and city ports, which allow excursions ashore.
